Insomnia Begins?

28 Dec

Woke up at 3:30 am today and couldn’t go back to sleep. I was tossing and turning, my lower back hurts, my neck hurts, my hips hurt. I have 6 pillows (3 normal, 2 couch pillows and 1 breastfeeding pillow) – and I still couldn’t arrange a comfortable position for myself…

I gave up just after 6 am and got up. And now I need to start getting ready to go to work 😦

I hope this is a just a one-off thing and not the beginning of infamous third-trimester insomnia. Unlike some people, I cannot function when severely sleep-deprived (well, certainly can’t work).

What preoccupied me during the three hours of tossing and turning was the nursery and ideas for the custom-built shelves we want there (a contractor will come a give us an estimate tomorrow… we’ll see if we can afford it or just go and buy some ikea stuff).

PS It finally snowed. Not a lot – but it finally feels like winter, for the first time this season!

Ugh…so sorry for the insomnia! Hope it is just a one-time thing!
It may actually be better you have to get up for work. I work from home and make my own hours for the most part, and I think that might be bad because now my body is getting used to being up all night and sleeping from 6 AM to between 9 and 12 depending on what I have going on. Really not the schedule I want to be on!
Hope you get to do the shelves in the nursery! 🙂

      Thank you Kristen
I considered working from home today, but had to go since had problems logging in… which is for the best – I think I would’ve fallen asleep at home 😉

    Oh yes the insomnia!!!

I hope there are no more episodes of that…

Zygotta, I wish you would put up an e-mail address on your blog, or associate one with your blog (not necessarily your actual name, anything that brings replies straight to you.)

what do you mean? I do receive notifications directly through my emil when someone leaves a comment?

It means that sometimes I wish to reply straight to you, but I either usually have to come to your blog and leave it as a comment or just mentally shoot off some response.

If there were a mail associated, I (or anyone else for that matter) would be able to write directly to you …

    Just a suggestion….

Hmmm. Some bloggers emailed me before (I didn’t give them my email) – not sure how this works… How do I “associate” an email with the blog? I don’t mind doing this, it’s an email I specifically created for this blog…

You could leave an entry of your e-mail id on the sidebar where you have put RSS, Case Record, Subscribe Thru Email etc….it is easy to copy-paste from there.

        Thanks…
